Larks Cherokee Pyro
(Larks Overtime By Rugged Lark X Hialeah Lark)
Lark's Cherokee Pyro possess's the classic conformation of his sires. Lark is a very well proportioned stallion, and the perfect combination of correct conformation, athletiscism, and balance. He has a superb look with his big bold eyes, large nostrils, nice tippy ears, muscular jawline, short muzzle, and a clean throatlatch.
The slope of his shoulder and sound legs gives him the smooth flowing gaits that he portrays. Lark engages his hindquarters with ease, and reaches out in the front end with a nice flat trot. Lark is extremely soft in the mouth, and he flexes to each side very easily. He flexes at the poll, breaks at the withers with ease, yields to leg pressure, moves out with his shoulder when cued, side-passes, pivots on his hindquarters, pivots on the front end, and transitions into his gaits effortlessly.
Fortunately, his personality goes with his looks. He has a lot of manners around the ladies. He does not squeal, prance, or act frantic. I am very grateful that he shows great training attitude, has a strong will to learn, and he is a very quick learner with a docile disposition. He has been an excellent show horse. We have been showing in smaller shows, but he has took home the blue in all of the English Pleasure, and Hunter Under Saddle classes. Do not let the show quality fool you, because he pertains a lot of speed and agility. I have started working him over fences and he is doing great for a green hunter jumper. For the 2012 show season he will be showing in Hunter Under Saddle and Dressage within the AQHA show circuit, Blue Ridge Horse Force, and multiple open shows. I started him out using Clinton Anderson techniques, and he has excelled in his learning. He is the complete package, do not let a chance for a wonderful foal pass by. He will be an excellent all around stallion just like his grandsire, and his foals should be incredible, smart, and flashy show prospects.
